01What does an independent insurance broker do?

An independent broker can work with multiple insurance companies instead of representing only one carrier. April helps clients understand available choices and compare the features that matter to their needs, eligibility, and state.

02What types of coverage does Integrity Financial Solutions help with?

April provides guidance for Medicare, individual and family health insurance, life and final-expense insurance, indexed universal life, fixed and indexed annuities, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, disability, long-term care, and selected business benefits. Availability and eligibility vary by state and carrier.

03Which states does April serve?

April serves clients in Tennessee, Alabama, Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland. Product and carrier availability can differ by state.

04When can most people first enroll in Medicare?

Most people first become eligible around age 65. The Initial Enrollment Period generally lasts seven months: the three months before the month you turn 65, your birthday month, and the three months after. Employer coverage and other circumstances can affect when you should act, so confirm your timing before delaying enrollment.

05What is the difference between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage?

Original Medicare is the federal Part A and Part B program. Medicare Advantage is offered by Medicare-approved private companies and provides Part A and Part B benefits, usually with Part D drug coverage. Costs, provider networks, benefits, and rules vary by plan and service area.

06Can Medicare Supplement insurance work with Medicare Advantage?

No. Medicare Supplement, also called Medigap, is designed to work with Original Medicare, not Medicare Advantage. Enrollment rights and available policies depend on timing, state rules, and eligibility.

07What is the Medicare Part D out-of-pocket threshold for 2026?

For 2026, the annual out-of-pocket threshold for covered Part D drugs is $2,100. After reaching it, a member enters catastrophic coverage and pays no out-of-pocket cost for covered Part D drugs for the rest of that calendar year. Premiums and costs that do not count under Medicare rules are separate.

08Does the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan lower drug costs?

No. It is an optional way to spread eligible out-of-pocket Part D prescription costs across monthly payments during the calendar year. It changes when the costs are paid, not the total amount owed.

09How does an indexed universal life policy work when an index declines?

An IUL policy uses an index-linked method to calculate potential interest crediting, but the policy is not directly invested in the index. A floor can limit negative index interest, while policy charges, withdrawals, and loans may still reduce value. Caps, participation rates, guarantees, and charges are contract-specific.

10What information should I prepare for a coverage review?

Start with your current coverage, goals, budget, preferred doctors, prescriptions, household needs, financial obligations, beneficiaries, and questions. Do not place Social Security, Medicare, bank, policy, or payment numbers in website chat; April will tell you what is needed through the secure process.

11Can Chat with April give me a quote or choose a plan for me?

The website assistant can explain general insurance concepts and current public rules. Personalized pricing, underwriting, plan selection, enrollment, provider networks, formularies, and carrier-specific benefits require a secure review with April.
